Thundermite Girl's League founded 2004.
This coming season 2010/11 The Thundermite Girls League will be offering the following age groups:- U9s, u10’s, (development League please see below) u11s, u12’s, playing 7 aside, u13s, u14s, playing 9 aside, u15s, Playing 9 aside or 11 aside, u16s and under 17s playing 11 aside. We are trying to arrange a friendly 4v4 division for the under 8s with fun days and tournaments. This should give us a natural progression to the game.
The under 10s development league this season was a new experience for the four teams involved, giving girls in the younger age groups a chance to play some football before joining the under 11s league. Teams have fixtures given to them by the league and everything is centred around fair play and learning the game. Games can be played with as little as 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 or 7v7 according to the amount of girls available.
